This Worker Health & Safety Awareness e-Learning program presents an interactive design for education and training on basic health and safety awareness training for all workers. The goal of this training program is to give participants knowledge and information which they can understand and apply to keep healthy and safe at work today and every day.

OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this training program participants will be able to:

• Understand the health and safety role that they play in the workplace.
  
  
• Understand general requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related information including workplace health and safety policies and procedures, material safety data sheets, Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and the company's Health and Safety Representative.
  
  
• Recognize potential health and safety hazards they may encounter in the workplace.
  
  
• Identify ways to create and promote a healthy and safe workplace.

TRAINING PROGRAM DURATION

Average time to complete this Worker Health & Safety Awareness e-Learning program is approximately 35-45 minutes. This e-Leaning program is self-paced. Participants may pause/leave the online training program at any time and can resume where they left off.

TARGET AUDIENCE

All workers in Ontario workplaces must complete mandatory health and safety awareness training.

Worker Health & Safety Awareness e-Learning

Created specifically for workers in Ontario workplaces, this training program allows participants to gain a greater understanding of their role and duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) in keeping their workplace safe. Participants will review the four basic steps and their related topics, for example, in recognizing and reporting workplace hazards, the rights of workers, and how they can get involved by volunteering for the Joint Health and Safety Committee or as a representative.

Developed by HR Proactive Inc., based on the OHSA and Ministry of Labour requirements, this Worker H&S Awareness e-Learning program features built-in review quizzes and scenario testing to reinforce participant learning. At the end of the program participants will be able to print a Certificate of Completion.
